ROLE Supplies Assistant

LOCATION Sheffield

SALARY £14.79 PH

Full UK License Required

Monday – Friday

8am – 4pm

 

Multitask are recruiting for a Supplies Assistant based in the S2 area, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, required to be physically fit, experience of manual handling. FLT would be an advantage.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Issuing and receipt of Materials

 • Stores documentation checks.

 • Stock checking and subsequent investigations into discrepancies.

 • Monitoring of stock usage levels.

 • Processing of Stock Replenishment, Low value and collect Orders.

 • Efficient organisation of Stores and Yard stock locations to acceptable standards and keep the stores and yard areas safe, clean, and tidy.

 • Electronic Inputting of Stores documentation

.  • Erection of shelving and labelling of materials.

• Work with operational staff to define, install, manage, and amend van stocks to meet day to day stock requirements

• Undertake visual inspection of tools, equipment and may involve using plant and machinery including forklift truck

 • Assist in always maintaining stores security.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrates an understanding of stores and supplies processes.
  • Experience of working in an operational supplies and stores environment
  • I Experience of working with clients, customers, and managers to build effective working relationships.
  • Experience of working effectively within a team to contribute to the development of self and others.
  • Experience of the use of ICT systems ideally in a Stores/Supplies/Operational environment Skills and Abilities

SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Good working knowledge of health and safety in a Stores and Supplies/operational environment
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates collaborative working to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective service.  Demonstrates the ability to use own initiative and work with limited supervision.
  •  Demonstrates the ability to work part of a team, taking pride in the work completed and actively contributing to the team performance targets.
  • Demonstrates the ability to verbally communicate with customers and colleagues to provide a positive image and maintain constructive, effective working relationships with colleagues and others.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate in writing to maintain records.
  • Ability to use information technology systems and devices with appropriate training.
  • Demonstrates a positive approach to continuous improvement and change.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to actively engage in learning and development.
