Stores / Infection Control Operative

ROLE - STORES / INFECTION CONTROL OPERATIVE

LOCATION – TRINITY BUSINESS PARK , WF2 8EF

SALARY - £10.79 PER HOUR

Multitask Personnel are recruiting a stores / infection control operative in the Wakefield area, the role is to provide effective equipment cleaning and decontamination service for equipment collected or returned ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety and Infection Control policies of Wakefield Equipment and wheelchair service.

You will also undertake general warehouse and stock duties as directed by the team leader.  

• Ensuring all stock areas are tidy, stock levels are adequate.
• All equipment is bar coded.
• To assist with deliveries from suppliers and contractors
• To clean items in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and local Infection Control Policies
• Maintain a segregated and quarantined area for dirty equipment that has been collected or returned from clients in order to reduce cross contamination.
• Use large industrial washing appliances to decontaminate and wash equipment to a high standard according to decontamination policy and report any faults.
• Wear sufficient PPE in line with infection control policy.
• Undertake picking of stock.
• Assist with deliveries.

The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern during the core hours of 8am – 8pm , including weekends.

Ideally community based.

Driving License required.
