About the role

  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors across a range of trades
  • Enforce health and safety standards on every site, and lead by example
  • Report to senior management on targets, progress and any risks to delivery
  • Hold weekly meetings with council representatives, provide progress reports and agree sign-off of completed works on time
  • Meet contractual deadlines for works in progress and escalate issues early

About you

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor in construction, ideally 10+ years in the industry
  • Background in council, housing association or residential refurbishment work
  • Good working knowledge of planned and cyclical works programmes
  • Strong understanding of health and safety on live sites, with a current SMSTS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Confident managing subcontractors and handling multiple sites at once
  • Clear communicator who can work with residents, clients and senior stakeholders
  • Highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative
  • Able to commute within one hour of Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon, with a full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience with retrofit or energy efficiency works (solar PV, ASHP, EWI, insulation)
  • Understanding of asbestos management on refurbishment projects
  • Experience working to a main contractor’s health and safety framework
  • First aid and CSCS card

What we offer

  • Salary of £32ph
  • A long-term contract with real potential to go permanent

  • Steady, planned work in the social housing sector through to March 2028
