Role - Site Manager Location - Ditchling Salary-£55,000 + Van + Fuel Card Our successful client provides a comprehensive self-delivery design and build approach for non-infrastructure project execution, including turnkey capital projects, new build solutions, capital maintenance projects, process plant integration, and commissioning. They are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager to join their Projects division on a permanent basis, covering various sites across the Southern Water region of England. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and deliver all site-based construction elements of multi-discipline projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet all customer requirements. As a Site Manager, you will have a thorough understanding of the construction processes for electrical, mechanical, civil, and process components, from planning through to construction and commissioning. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with ongoing project delivery and commissioning. Continuously improve project communication and performance within the Projects and Construction teams. Ensure compliance with UK Specifications and industry best practices. Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation. Provide construction resource planning and strategy at the bid stage. Contribute to the ‘Project Execution Plan’. Assist in developing the Construction Phase of Health & Safety plans upon winning bids. Implement the Construction Phase Health & Safety plans. Collaborate with internal and external Project Managers to oversee all EICA & Mechanical installation. Develop project programs, RAMS, and lifting plans. Create Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans. Review and approve site construction RAMS provided by subcontractors and supervisors. Communicate with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase. Manage and issue construction drawings at the site level. Ensure construction meets design specifications. Work with Supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant site delivery, optimizing resource utilization. Oversee, coordinate, and manage all completions up to pre-commissioning. Manage all subcontractor activities on-site. Supervise internal EICA & Mechanical Construction teams. Provide input into EICA, Mechanical, and Process design reviews as required. Supply all necessary documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables, Health & Safety equipment, and transport for safe and efficient construction. Provide short-term (1 week) and medium-term (3 weeks) project forecasts. Manage and coordinate the delivery, safe handling, offloading, and storage of materials. Oversee and coordinate Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required. Qualifications and Experience: To be considered for this role, you should have at least 2-3 years of previous site management experience, ideally within an engineering background. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and hold a valid CSCS card, a valid SMSTS card, and a background in either mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
