As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a central part in shaping commercial strategy, guiding operational teams, and ensuring the smooth delivery of contracts that underpin critical water infrastructure.
Lead the commercial relationship with subcontractors across the water infrastructure programme.
Ensure compliance with NEC contracts (ideally NEC4 TSC) and Construction Act provisions.
Review and assess applications for payment, compensation events, and claims, with sound contractual judgment.
Deliver accurate 12-week cash flow forecasts and monthly subcontract cost accruals.
Partner with operational and finance teams to drive financial and delivery performance.
Support the development of future opportunities in the regulated water sector.
Embed contractual and commercial best practice across the programme.
A degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent experience.
Extensive quantity surveying, commercial management, and formal contract administration experience (with strong NEC knowledge).
Extensive experience of valuing works, assessing compensation events, and formal contract administration, ideally with use of contract management software/tools.
Services contract experience, ideally including metering and civils works.
Proven ability to partner with operational and finance teams, delivering commercial and contract training.
Water industry knowledge would be a significant advantage.
Experience managing both clients and subcontractors (lead contractor role) would be highly desirable.
