Role: Sales Executive - Renewable Energy
Location: Hull with travel
Salary: up to £35,000 DOE OTE up to £55k (targets met)
Job Purpose: As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving sales through the pipeline, preparing proposals and quotations, and contributing to business growth. Your responsibilities will include revenue generation, long-term business success, strategic planning, and exceptional customer service. You will assist customers with quotes and proposals while coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute the sales strategy for delivering CAPEX, Finance, and PPA Renewable projects in alignment with company objectives.
Prepare and submit sales reviews, pipeline reports, and KPI updates, ensuring targets and objectives are met.
Maintain consistent sales best practices and principles, ensuring brand alignment in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Conduct door-to-door sales presentations across diverse commercial sectors.
Manage incoming emails, flagging and tracking responses to ensure all queries are addressed.
Identify and pursue business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, focusing on solar power generation, energy trading, EV solutions, CAPEX, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Follow up on proposals with prospective customers to maintain engagement and drive conversions.
Guide leads through the sales funnel, from initial contact and PPA proposal creation to quotation and deal closure.
Develop professional, tailored proposals and presentations to meet customer needs.
Conduct client engagement calls with new and existing customers to promote additional products and services.
Effectively utilise CRM systems to track leads, calls, matured projects, and other relevant sales data, ensuring adherence to set parameters and targets.
Maintain up-to-date administration, including preparing CAPEX & PPA proposals and submitting supporting reports to line management and senior leadership.
Provide ongoing support to key accounts, addressing any queries or concerns to ensure a positive customer experience.
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support business and team objectives.
Offer operational support during staff absences or holidays as needed.
Education & Qualifications:
Relevant NVQ qualifications.
GCSE education or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Experience with CRM applications.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience, with at least 1 year in the solar or renewable energy sector.
Expertise in Power Purchase Agreements, energy trading, and utility-scale solar assets.
Strong knowledge of solar power and a passion for renewable energy.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
Proficiency in CRM systems and strong overall IT literacy.
Self-motivated, highly organised, and detail-oriented team player.
Capable of assisting and supporting at board level.
Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, ensuring deadlines are met.
