Salary: £40-£50k dependant on experience

Location: East Midlands based with regular travel across the West Midlands and office days in Derbyshire

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday

Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Project Engineer with a strong background in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow, learn and make a real impact in a dynamic and varied role.

You'll be at the heart of project delivery, supporting the Project manager with scoping and planning through to installation, commissioning and site management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Project manager and customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Capture and validate customer requirements, including technical MEICA specifications
  • Work with the senior Project team to develop full project scope, identify external contract services and prepare accurate costings
  • Manage and assist the design, manufacture and delivery of MEICA systems in line with project specifications and timelines
  • Assist in preparing and briefing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring compliance with DSEAR and ATEX requirements
  • Coordinate resources and liaise with the project team to meet milestones
  • Assist and oversee daily site management of operatives and subcontractors, including MEICA specialists
  • Monitor project progress and costs, escalating issues promptly to the Project Manager
  • Ensure customer sign-off and satisfaction upon project completion
  • Act as Temporary Works Coordinator, maintaining registers and ensuring compliance with Temporary Works procedures
  • Work with the project team to complete ITPs and ITFs

About You

Essential:

  • CSCS Card (or equivalent)
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Industry relevant qualifications

 

Desirable:

  • MEICA-related training or certification
