About the Role

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our team delivering works on the Yorkshire Water contract, based around the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire area. This is a great opportunity for someone with a MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) background, whether you're newly qualified/off-tools or an experienced engineer looking for your next step.

You'll be working on a variety of projects including digester cleans and biogas replacement schemes, playing a key role in the successful delivery of works from design through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of MEICA projects across the Yorkshire Water contract
  • Assist with the technical delivery of digester clean and biogas replacement works
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to budget
  • Monitor project progress, resolving technical issues as they arise
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards throughout
  • Support cost tracking, programme management and reporting
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop skills and take on increasing responsibility over time
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and delivery methods

What We're Looking For

  • A background in MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation) engineering
  • Experience within the water/wastewater industry is desirable but not essential
  • Could suit someone recently moved off-tools looking to step into an engineering role, or a more experienced Project/Site Engineer looking for progression
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with site teams and stakeholders
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, safety-first attitude
  • Full UK driving licence (site travel required)
