Project Engineer – Civils and Water

Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: South Yorkshire / Derbyshire

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

 

About This Opportunity

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join a team delivering MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) you could be looking to move off the tools or already working at project engineer, what is most important is that you are looking for progression, have a great attitude and a good level of Meica knowledge.

You'll work on a variety of projects including digester cleans and biogas replacement schemes, playing a key role in delivery from design through to completion, with a clear route into a Project Manager position as you develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of MEICA projects and Maintenance works.
  • Assist with the technical delivery of digester clean and biogas replacement works
  • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely on time and to budget
  • Monitor project progress, resolving technical issues as they arise
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards throughout
  • Support cost tracking, programme management and reporting
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop skills and take on increasing responsibility over time
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and delivery methods

About You

Essential:

  • A good understanding in MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation) engineering
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with site teams and stakeholders
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, safety-first attitude
  • Full UK driving licence (site travel required)

Desirable:

  • Experience within the water/wastewater industry
  • Industry specific qualifications
