Role Overview

As a Project Coordinator (Insulation Works) and Customer Liaison Officer, you will play a key part in the full end-to-end customer and installation journey. This hybrid role blends office-based project coordination with field-based customer engagement, acting as the face of the organisation during home visits.

You will ensure projects remain compliant, efficient and completed to the highest standards. This covers everything from data validation, RA/TS bookings and batching approvals, through to materials management, enabling works, installation, completion paperwork and warranty submissions.


Key Responsibilities

Office-Based Duties:

  • Validate applicant information, eligibility and required evidence.
  • Coordinate survey and assessment bookings, ensuring all internal checks are completed.
  • Collate and submit documentation for stakeholder approvals.
  • Schedule installation works, including enabling, trades and insulation activities.
  • Liaise with suppliers to order and manage project materials.
  • Support the customer journey with updates, confirmations and document completion for warranties and submissions.
  • Handle incoming calls, booking appointments, providing updates and resolving minor complaints professionally.

Field-Based Duties:

  • Represent the organisation professionally when visiting customer properties.
  • Act as the main customer liaison, conducting home visits to explain the retrofit process, manage expectations and provide reassurance.
  • Support customers on-site by addressing queries and explaining next steps.
  • Work closely with assessors, surveyors and installers to ensure a smooth delivery.
  • Gather customer feedback and feed this into internal processes for service improvement.
  • Identify and escalate any concerns promptly to ensure effective resolution.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in project coordination, administration or customer support.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, spreadsheets and document management tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer visits.
  • Confidence and professionalism in face-to-face interactions.
  • Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role.

Desirable:

  • Experience in insulation administration or retrofit project support.
  • Knowledge of PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 or ECO4 requirements.
  • Familiarity with construction or energy efficiency projects.
  • Track record of delivering positive customer experiences.
