Hourly rate: £13.33–£14.35 per hour (depending on experience)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (37.5 hours per week)

Contract type: Temp to Perm

Our client operates a hybrid working policy. The successful candidate will be expected to attend the Sheffield head office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days in line with business needs.

 

About the Role

The Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the project team across all aspects of project delivery, including administration, finance, and client liaison. You will work closely with project managers, senior colleagues, and clients to ensure projects run smoothly, meet agreed timescales, and deliver quality outcomes.

You will also take ownership of small works and other projects as required, ensuring clear communication, effective organisation, and consistent attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Reviewing and understanding scopes of work for allocated projects.
  • Liaising with the estimating team during handover meetings to ensure project costs are clearly understood and effectively managed.
  • Producing and managing health and safety documentation.
  • Setting up and maintaining project folders in line with the project execution plan.
  • Processing labour requests and liaising with the Resource Manager to allocate the correct skilled labour to each job.
  • Compiling and distributing engineering packs.
  • Ensuring all project documents are updated daily.
  • Making hotel and travel bookings for engineers as needed.
  • Managing work to the project programme and adapting to changes as required.
  • Analysing and reviewing working practices to ensure alignment with company procedures.
  • Representing the company professionally in meetings, including off-site client meetings.
  • Submitting material requests as required.

 

Person Specification

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing and able to learn in-house systems relevant to the role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with people at all levels.
  • Able to issue tasks to others and follow up as required to ensure completion.
