Operations Support Manager Location: Tamworth Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Bonus Our client are a rapidly expanding business within the Energy sector, they are looking to appoint an Operations Support Manager. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, this role will be central to ensuring smooth coordination between the planning and field engineering teams. As the company continues to grow rapidly, this position will play a critical role in supporting field operations, managing key administrative and operational functions, and ensuring engineers are fully equipped, trained, and supported to deliver high-quality service. Key Responsibilities • Act as a key link between planning teams and field engineers, ensuring smooth day- to-day operations • Manage and coordinate the fleet function, ensuring vehicles are properly allocated and maintained • Oversee the training matrix for engineers, ensuring compliance and identifying upskilling opportunities • Manage onboarding and induction processes for new engineers joining the business • Support field operations by resolving issues, managing call-backs, and assisting with operational challenges • Coordinate and organise training and upskilling programmes for engineers • Manage equipment and stock levels, ensuring engineers have the tools and materials required • Provide operational support to Field Team Managers to maintain efficient service delivery • Help develop processes and systems to support a growing workforce The Ideal Candidate • Experience in an operations support, coordination, Logistics or field support role • Background working with field-based teams or engineering operations is highly desirable • Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise between office teams and engineers in the field • Proactive and adaptable, with a focus on improving operational efficiency The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation where you can play an important role in shaping and supporting operations.
