About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi-Trade Construction Site Manager to join a growing and successful contractor delivering industrial and commercial projects right across the UK. You'll take the lead on site, overseeing multiple trades, direct labour and specialist subcontractors, and acting as the trusted face of the business for clients and Principal Contractors. This is a nationwide, home-based role, and you'll need the flexibility to travel and stay away from home as project requirements dictate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full day-to-day responsibility for the management of assigned construction sites, coordinating multiple direct trades and specialist subcontractors.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or risks.
  • Organise labour, plant, materials and deliveries, keeping a clean, organised and professional site environment.
  • Work closely with Contracts Managers to keep projects on programme and on budget, reporting progress and escalating issues promptly.
  • Attend client, design and progress meetings, building strong working relationships with clients, Principal Contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, RAMS and current legislation, and carrying out site inspections and inductions.
  • Monitor workmanship and quality across all trades, manage snagging, and support project handovers and completion documentation.
  • Supervise directly employed operatives and subcontractors, monitoring productivity and assisting with workforce planning.
  • Get involved in a wide variety of project types, including warehouse fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, mezzanine floors, commercial office fit-outs, groundworks, M&E works and EV charging infrastructure.

About You

You'll likely be working currently as a Site Manager, Senior Site Supervisor, Construction Site Manager, Fit-Out Site Manager, Industrial Site Manager or Assistant Contracts Manager, with experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse or fit-out environments considered highly advantageous. You'll also bring:

  • Proven experience managing construction sites and coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills, with strong communication ability.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A strong understanding of construction health and safety.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel and stay away from home as required.

  •  CSCS Black or Gold Card

 

  •  First Aid at Work,

 

  • Temporary Works Awareness,

 

  • IPAF,

 

  • PASMA or Scaffold Inspection tickets would be an advantage, though not essential.
