Mobile Fork Lift Service Engineer

Our client is one of the leading independent Doosan, Combilift and Aisle-Master forklift truck dealers in the UK, providing full OEM support from their depot south of Sheffield. They currently operate a fleet of around 400 hire machines and maintain a further 600 machines located throughout the UK.

They have a new management team in place and are expanding rapidly through both acquisitions and organic growth.

As a result of this growth, they are now looking to recruit a Mobile Fork Truck Engineer based in and around the Sheffield area but would consider anyone within a 25-mile radius of junction 29 on the M1.

Your key responsibilities within this exciting role are:

• To complete day to day service, repair and maintenance of equipment based at customer sites or on company premises.
• To complete inspections and safety checks in accordance with industry best practice and regulations
• Use of tablet and paper-based administration systems
• Management and care of van stock
• Care and maintenance of company vehicle, tools and equipment
• Communicate quickly/efficiently to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Work to company procedures and Health and Safety / COSHH regulations

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Recent and relevant experience of working in the forklift truck, plant, powered access, agricultural equipment, commercial vehicle or similar service environment.
• Proficient in fault finding and repair.
• Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good standard of education
• Full driving licence

Note that specific product and process training will be provided.
