Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid)
Salary: Circa £65k (DOE)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

A well-established and expanding contractor within the Mechanical and Electrical sector is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, retail, education, and public sectors, this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging schemes.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of M&E works across a range of projects. This is a key role supporting project delivery, ensuring profitability, cost control, and compliance from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and cost plans
• Assess, value, and manage subcontractor packages
• Monitor project progress, variations, and contractual obligations
• Provide accurate monthly valuations and financial forecasts
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, and clients
• Assist in procurement and tendering processes
• Prepare and agree final accounts
• Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation and company procedures

Key Requirements

• Experience in an M&E Quantity Surveyor role
• Strong understanding of mechanical OR electrical systems
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong IT skills including Excel and QS software
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
