M&E Estimator

Role:  Estimator
Location: Chesterfield
Package: Circa £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Multitask Personnel are working with a well-established and growing company who deliver Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Projects for the Retail and Commercial sectors. 

Due to ongoing expansion, they are looking to recruit a  Estimator to join their team, there is flexibility to work hybrid between home and their offices in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's worked in estimating, has experience within Electrical or mechanical (both is not essential) and who wants to progress within a reputable, expanding company 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing tender documents and drawings
• Help prepare cost estimates and quotations for M&E projects
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain prices for materials and equipment
• Support in completing tender returns and bid documents
• Work closely with senior estimators and project managers to understand project requirements
• Help track enquiries, follow up on quotations, and maintain records
• Provide administrative support to the estimating and commercial team
• Carry out take-offs and basic design calculations 

What You’ll Need

• A strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems
• Previous estimating experience 
• Strong interest in developing a career a commercial role within the M&E sector
• Good IT skills – particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Qualification in building services, engineering, or a related subject (desirable but not essential)
