About the Company

We are currently recruiting for a global Logistics team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

They are seeking Senior Installation Engineers with a strong electrical background to play an integral part in their home delivery services.

In this role, you won't just be installing high-end technology; you will be the technical backbone of the field operations, ensuring safety, precision, and excellence in every home.

Types of installations they fit:

Integrated Appliances: Installing fitted white goods (ovens, hobs, washing machines) that require hardwired or mains-connected setups.

Smart Home Devices: Setting up connected electronics, security tech, and smart hubs.

EV Chargers: Installing electric vehicle charging points for residential properties.

As a Electrical Installation Engineer, you are the bridge between complex electrical requirements and seamless customer delivery. You will manage high-specification installations, which may include smart home integration, EV charging points, and premium integrated appliances. All while ensuring our work complies with the latest regulations.

You will also lead, develop and mentor junior team members, and depot managers ensuring best practice, quality and regulations are followed.

EV chargers will tend to be a one-person job, however for 2 people it may be for extra installation for PV such as roofer and electrician, or apprentice shadowing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Electrical Installations: Execute and sign off on complex electrical connections and installations in domestic environments.
  • Customer Excellence: Provide expert-level product demonstrations, turning a technical installation into a premium experience for the client.
  • Technical Mentorship: Act as a dedicated mentor to junior installers and apprentices, conducting on-site coaching and mentoring  to elevate the team's technical skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform spot checks and audits on installations to ensure they meet both 18th Edition standards and our own rigorous internal benchmarks.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate certification records and ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed by the crew.
  • Depending on the role you would average around 2 simple EV charger installs a day

About You

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, or equivalent).
  • Regulations: Up-to-date 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification is essential.
  • Experience: Proven track record in domestic electrical work and appliance installation.
  • Leadership Mindset: A natural ability to teach others and a passion for developing the next generation of engineers.
  • Licensing: A clean UK driving license (experience with 3.5t vehicles is a plus).
  • This role will involve regular travel to depots and customers’ homes within a 60 mile radius
  • Solar qualification is desirable; company will provide PV course too for ongoing training.
  • EV is also desirable, but the training for this can also be trained and certified very quickly.
