Job Title: Information Access Officer
Location: Huddersfield Town Centre
Salary: £12.59 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

About the Role:
Multitask Personnel are looking for dedicated individuals to join our clients busy Adult Social Care team as an Information Access Officer. Serving as the central contact point for all adult social care enquiries, you will play a key role in handling both telephone and electronic contacts, contributing to the smooth operation of a high-volume service that manages 50,000 contacts per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming and approachable reception, offering professional and courteous assistance to service users, carers, and the public.
  • Respond to enquiries via telephone, email, or in-person with understanding and sensitivity.
  • Conduct initial assessments of enquiries, identify social care needs, and provide information or refer to appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, ensuring sensitive information is handled correctly.
  • Liaise with other services and agencies to resolve complex enquiries, including those related to eligibility criteria for social services.
  • Support outreach activities, deliver presentations, and promote services to the community.
  • Ensure that enquirers are directed to the appropriate services and that equipment is issued according to guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of IT literacy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, high-volume environment.
  • Experience with customer service and handling sensitive enquiries.
  • Strong administrative skills, with experience using databases and recording systems.
  • A proactive and organized approach to managing workloads and meeting service standards.
