Job Description:
Our client, a leading force in renewable energy and infrastructure based near Hull, is seeking an experienced High Voltage Field Operations Manager to oversee and deliver key projects across the country.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, proven leadership in HV environments, and hands on experience working with DNOs such as Northern PowerGrid.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading High Voltage installation projects from start to finish, safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
• Acting as the main point of contact with DNOs to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
• Enforcing HSE policies, performing risk assessments, and promoting a safety-first culture.
• Managing on site teams to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Auditing work and providing technical support for jointing and electrical installations.
• Staying current with regulations (BS7671, 18th Edition) and driving continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in the electricity supply industry
• High Voltage Authorised Person with solid switching credentials
• Proven track record working with DNOs (e.g., Northern Powergrid)
• In-depth knowledge of jointing, HV/LV systems, and testing procedures
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification (required)
• Confident in interpreting site drawings and mains records
• A natural leader with excellent communication and team management skills
