Overview
Join a growing engineering services business specialising in Datacoms, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering across retail and mainstream construction environments.
Job Purpose
The HSQE Advisor plays a key role in supporting and advising on all aspects of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental issues. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance, improve safety culture, and support operational teams in maintaining best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Support and manage HSQE documentation, including the ISO management system and RAMS.
Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with HSQE standards.
Assist in compiling and distributing HSQE reports.
Maintain and update PIC sheets, ensuring necessary actions are completed.
Support accident and incident reporting, including investigations.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all HSQE matters.
Assist with the induction of new employees and subcontractors.
Support the Head of HSQE in analysing data related to welfare measures (e.g., working hours, speeding reports).
Develop and deliver in-house training materials for HSQE awareness.
Monitor and review staff progress through toolbox talks and discussions.
Ensure statutory training requirements are met for all personnel.
Work with line managers to address specific training needs.
Ensure all equipment is compliant and fit for purpose.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
TechIOSH membership.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Right to work in the UK.
Strong administrative skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Desirable:
Experience in a similar HSQE role within engineering, construction, or related sectors.
Experience delivering HSQE training.
Strong presentation skills.
