Multitask Personnel is working with a leading property services provider that delivers repairs, upgrades and maintenance across housing contracts. They’re now looking for an experienced installer to join their team in Reading

The role

• Install and service heat pumps, hot water cylinders and thermal storage systems
• Carry out central heating installations and repairs in domestic and commercial settings
• Provide on-site supervision and technical support
• Diagnose faults, maintain and repair heating systems
• Complete works to PAS 2030, MCS and Gas Safe standards
• Record all activity on a PDA and report hazards or incidents
• Support with call-outs, overtime and flexible tasks as needed

What you’ll bring

• Experience in local authority or social housing settings
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of heating systems, appliances and installations
• Hands-on fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with PAS 2030 standards and compliance evidence
• Installation experience with unvented hot water systems
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety and industry regulations

Essential qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or equivalent City & Guilds)
• Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Installation & Maintenance (C&G, BPEC or LCL)
• G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder certification
• Water Regulations certificate
• DBS and CSCS card

Desirable extras

• HIU experience
• Solar systems knowledge (Level 3 RFQ)
• F-Gas certification
• Electrical qualifications (17th/18th Edition)
• Control system rewiring
