Head of Marketing – Renewables Wholesale Supplier

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE + Share Scheme

An award-winning and rapidly expanding renewable energy wholesaler is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to support its ambitious growth strategy.

Role Overview

As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy. You will lead a small in-house team, manage external marketing partners, and work closely with the senior leadership team. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic thinking with operational delivery, supporting both brand development and market expansion. The role is based in South Yorkshire and will involve travel to other sites.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

• Define and deliver a clear, measurable marketing strategy aligned with company objectives
• Lead the internal marketing function and manage relationships with external agencies and consultants
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure marketing activity supports wider business goals

Brand Development

• Develop and refine brand positioning, messaging and visual identity for a trade-focused audience
• Ensure consistency and professionalism across all brand touchpoints and marketing channels

Digital and Performance Marketing

• Oversee all digital marketing activity including SEO/SEM, paid media, email marketing and social media
• Use data-driven insights to measure and optimise lead generation, campaign performance and conversion

Content and Campaign Management

• Deliver compelling content and educational campaigns relevant to the solar PV and EV sectors
• Manage the creation of blogs, newsletters, case studies, product launches and video content

Events and Channel Marketing

• Coordinate participation in trade events, exhibitions and manufacturer-led marketing initiatives
• Provide sales teams with high-quality collateral, product literature and customer engagement tools

Market Intelligence

• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic planning and inform tactical marketing activity

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

• Proven marketing leadership experience in a B2B or wholesale/distribution environment
• Strong track record in delivering integrated, commercially effective marketing strategies
• Proficient in CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp) and digital analytics
• Excellent understanding of content strategy, branding and performance marketing
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience within the renewables, solar PV or EV charging sectors
• Understanding of the installer/trade customer base and technical product marketing
• Passion for sustainability and a commercially focused mindset
