Job Title: Ground Worker

Location: Hull

Salary: Circa £35k + Company Vehicle

Contract: Permanent, Full Time 

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Ground Worker to join their team, based near Hull, with projects located across the UK. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with proven experience in groundworks and operating plant machinery such as dumpers and diggers. The ideal candidate will hold valid NRSWA and CPCS cards and be willing to work away and stay overnight as required.

Key Responsibilities for the Ground Worker:

• Carry out groundworks including excavation, reinstatement, ducting, concreting, and general site preparation
• Operate plant and machinery safely and effectively, including dumpers and diggers
• Ensure works are completed in line with Street Works regulations and safety standards
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on civil engineering projects across the UK
• Assist with site set-up, including fencing, signage, and welfare facilities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines always
• Undertake overnight stays during the working week as required
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised worksite

Required Qualifications & Experience for the Ground Worker:

• Street Works (NRSWA) Qualification
• CPCS Card (minimum requirement for operating plant)
• Proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering environments
• Competent in the use of dumper trucks, excavators, and associated plant
• Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills:

• Confined Space Training
• Experience working in the highways or utility sectors
• First Aid at Work certification

Benefits Package:

• Salary: Circa £35k
