This is a unique opportunity to take the lead in delivering a nationwide scaffolding solution that underpins the UK’s green energy transition. Working in partnership with Octopus Energy, you’ll shape, scale, and drive a service that blends safety, innovation, and efficiency while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
You’ll be at the forefront of building and leading a high-performing team, managing large-scale operations, and setting new benchmarks for excellence in scaffolding delivery.
Lead the development and rollout of a national scaffolding solution to support energy infrastructure projects.
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, regulations, and best practice.
Build, inspire, and manage a high-performing national team, overseeing recruitment, training, and development.
Deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget, maintaining consistent operational excellence.
Take ownership of financial performance including P&L, budgeting, and cost control.
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
Keep customer focus at the heart of service delivery, embedding professionalism and responsiveness.
Drive innovation in scaffolding methods and systems, enhancing efficiency, safety, and customer outcomes.
Promote continuous improvement across all aspects of delivery and service quality.
Essential:
Strong leadership and operational management experience.
Proven ability to deliver national or large-scale operational solutions.
Excellent commercial awareness with experience in P&L, budgeting, and negotiation.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience leading teams across multiple sites/locations.
Track record of delivering outstanding customer experience.
Evidence of innovation in operations, processes, or service delivery.
Full UK Driving Licence.
A strong knowledge of the scaffolding industry
Preferable (but not essential):
Scaffolding and access industry experience.
Knowledge of NASC TG20:22 (scaffold compliance) and SG4:22 (fall prevention).
CIRS, CISRS, or other scaffolding-related qualifications.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or IOSH Managing Safely minimum).
Previous management experience within the Scaffolding and access industry experience.
