Job Title – Facilities Manager

Location – West Midlands

Salary – Circa £55k


The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the premises including oversight of property management and facility management, budgeting, and providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors. The Facilities Manager will lead the Facilities Management delivery for hard and soft services across the estate, whilst ensuring all health and safety and other compliance requirements are met.


  • Overseeing smooth running of the property
  • Working directly with Projects Director to plan and execute a management plan of the property and grounds
  • Managing the daily operations of the estate including staff schedules, upkeep, and bookings
  • Controlling activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Supervising team of staff, including cleaning, maintenance and security, and providing training, day-to-day feedback, and performance reviews
  • Managing contractors
  • Managing maintenance and staffing budgets
  • Ensuring all is maintained, and all practical equipment is running smoothly
  • Managing all maintenance, repairs, and renovations to building and estate grounds
  • Sourcing contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, cleaning, renovations, waste disposal, security and IT systems.
  • Undertaking / commissioning Fire and Health and Safety reviews of the building and its curtilage
  • Managing and monitoring the contracts for waste collection and recycling.
  • Arranging tree surveys and related remedial works

Experience and Knowledge-

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team leadership, including understanding how to create a strong, effective, and professional team.
  • Proven experience of Estate Management and Property Management
  • Excellent Facility Management skills
  • Budgeting and financial management skills
  • Experience with real estate management software and tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment.
