FLT / Labourer

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Labourer to join our busy site team. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with general labouring duties, so you’ll need to be flexible and happy to get stuck in wherever you’re needed.

Key responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely to load, unload and move materials around site
• Carrying out daily pre-use checks on equipment and reporting any faults
• General labouring duties, including manual handling, tidying and keeping work areas clean and safe
• Supporting the wider team to keep operations running smoothly
• Following all site safety rules, procedures and instructions at all times

What we’re looking for

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence (FLT ticket) is essential
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but a good attitude and willingness to learn will be considered
• Reliable and punctual, with a good attendance record
• Safety conscious, with a responsible approach to your own safety and that of others
• A hard worker with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A team player who communicates well and can also work independently
