Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days from home)

Multitask Personnel is proud to be working with a leading utilities provider specialising in the supply, installation and maintenance of gas, electric, and SMART meters. We are looking for an experienced Field Service Scheduler to join our client’s Cardiff office and play a key role in coordinating and managing the work schedules of field staff and subcontractors.


About the Role

This position is crucial to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery of field services in line with contractual obligations and client priorities. The successful candidate will be confident in resource planning, issue resolution, and maintaining profitability while meeting customer expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs).


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage efficient schedules for field staff and subcontractors
  • Utilise internal systems to allocate resources effectively in line with service contracts and KPIs
  • Assign sufficient chargeable work to engineers to meet productivity and revenue targets
  • Respond to client booking requests with prompt and accurate scheduling
  • Coordinate ongoing projects to ensure timely and satisfactory completion
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external customer enquiries
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and service-related issues efficiently
  • Prepare regular performance reports and track scheduling efficiency and KPI achievement
  • Analyse trends and provide recommendations for improving performance
  • Maintain accurate records of job statuses, resource allocations, and financial data
  • Monitor the profitability of scheduled work and ensure financial targets are met

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in scheduling, resource planning, or a similar operational role
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling systems and database tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of KPIs and operational financial principles
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail
  • Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Professional membership (e.g., Institute of Customer Service) is desirable
