Job Overview

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of electricians on commercial projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical works on commercial projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Lead a team of electricians and subcontractors, providing guidance and support.

  • Conduct site inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.

  • Ensure compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations and other industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and technical issues as required.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the commercial electrical sector.

  • ECS Gold Card, SSSTS (preferred).

  •  Strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, and installations in commercial environments.

  •  Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of workmanship.

  •  Understanding of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.

  •  A full UK driving licence is required.
