Electrical Solar PV Installer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Solar PV Installer to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining Solar PV systems across domestic, commercial and industrial properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install Solar PV systems in accordance with design specifications and current regulations.
• Carry out DC and AC electrical installations.
• Install inverters, battery storage systems and associated electrical equipment.
• Complete system testing, commissioning and fault finding.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Work closely with roofing teams and other site personnel.
• Complete installation documentation and certification.
• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on existing Solar PV installations.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety on site.
• Deliver excellent customer service whilst working at client premises.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2365, 2330 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• ECS Gold Card or JIB Card.
• Experience installing Solar PV systems.
• Knowledge of inverter technologies and battery storage systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications

• Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
• IPAF.
• PASMA.
• Working at Height certification.
• Battery storage installation experience.
• EV Charger installation experience.
