Job Title: Electrical Site Manager
Location: Derbyshire / Yorkshire (with nationwide travel)
Job Type: Permanent
Competitive salary (JIB rates plus OT after 37.5 hours per week,
Average working week 50-55 hours, Salary £65-£75k)
About the Company
We are working with a reputable and rapidly expanding main contractor business operating across the retail and commercial sectors. With a strong pipeline of projects nationwide, They are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Site Manager to join their growing team.
The Role
As an Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical subcontract labour on site, ensuring all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with project programmes. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating electrical subcontractors on site
- Ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with current regulations and company standards
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety across site operations
- Monitoring progress against programme and ensuring timely project delivery
- Liaising with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution
- Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and quality checks
Requirements
- Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering commercial electrical projects
- Previous experience in a supervisory or site management role (ideal for supervisors looking to step up)
- Valid IPAF certification
- First Aid qualification
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away from home as required
