Electrical Project Manager

Location: Yorkshire

Salary: £60k plus car allowance and benefits

Our client is a well-established specialising in electrical installations and building services. a key provider of Mechanical & Electrical solutions across various sectors, including commercial, retail, and industrial projects.

Job Description:

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical schemes across a variety of commercial projects, with a primary focus on retail stores, including supermarkets, high street chains, department stores, and shopping centres. You will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage electrical installation schemes with project values between £1 million and £3 million, primarily across retail stores and shopping centres.
• Oversee projects in live retail environments, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations while maintaining health & safety compliance.
• Coordinate electrical fit-outs, refurbishments, and upgrades for major retail chains, supermarkets, and department stores.
• Liaise with clients, store managers, and contractors, attending progress meetings, providing variation pricing, and advising on potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop project plans, manage milestones and budgets, oversee purchasing, and collate all relevant documentation.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Proven Electrical Project Management experience, particularly in large-scale retail store projects.
• Experience managing electrical installations in live retail environments.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Relevant Electrical Qualifications.
• Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD & Trimble is desirable but not essential.
