Job Title: Driver/Grounds Maintenance Operative (Grade 4)
Location: Rochdale
Pay Rate: £12.59 per hour
Contract Length: Approx. 6 months

Multitask Personnel are seeking a Driver/Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our local authority client based in Rochdale, working alongside park rangers at two locations: Environmental Management and Hollingworth Lake. This role requires someone enthusiastic, reliable, and physically fit, ready to contribute to the upkeep of Rochdale’s green spaces.

Job Description:
As part of the Grounds Maintenance team, you will carry out various gardening and grounds duties, including:

• Grass cutting using pedestrian, handheld, and ride-on machines
• Strimming, hedge trimming, shrub maintenance, and edging
• Weed removal and general street cleaning
• Litter picking and emptying litter bins as needed

You will work alternative weekends as part of a 6-month contract, with the possibility of overtime on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driver's Licence (to be presented on the first day)
• Willingness to work across different parts of the borough
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physically fit and eager to learn horticultural skills

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential):

• PA1 & PA6 Spraying Licenses
• Horticulture NVQ or equivalent (City & Guilds)
• Experience in grounds maintenance
