Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Hull (Office Based – 5 Days per Week)
Contract: Temporary – Initially 3 Months
Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered
Reporting to: Group Finance Manager

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a temporary basis for an initial three-month period. The successful candidate will support the team in reducing a backlog of outstanding debt and maintaining effective credit control processes.

This is an office-based role in Hull, with both full-time and part-time hours considered.

Key Responsibilities - Credit Controller

  • Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments
  • Allocating incoming payments accurately to customer accounts
  • Investigating and resolving customer account queries
  • Supporting the finance team in clearing a backlog of outstanding balances
  • Maintaining accurate records of communications and payment activity
  • Working collaboratively with the wider finance team to manage accounts effectively
  • Assisting with general credit control and accounts receivable duties as required

Key Requirements - Credit Controller

  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage queries and resolve issues efficiently
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working within a team environment

Additional Information

  • Office-based role in Hull
