The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to bring in new business, managing daily operations, and overseeing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, with desirable experience in buying or procurement within the renewable energy sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities from existing and new clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Review and refine operational processes to enhance performance and maximize growth.
  • Implement best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient business functioning.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure seamless integration of operations.
  • Work closely with sales and technical teams to develop accurate and consistent bids.
  • Ensure all proposals meet client requirements and align with company objectives.
  • Establish sales targets and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new business initiatives.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the renewable energy sector.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
  • Assist in the planning and development of new renewable energy products.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure market needs are met.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in commercial management, with a strong track record of driving business growth.
  • Desirable experience in buying or procurement, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy market.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM, ERP systems).
