Commercial Gas Engineer – North West

Salary: £43,000 – £46,000 basic + overtime and call-out earnings (OTE £55,000 – £60,000)

A leading national property services and maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join its growing team across the North West.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and occasional installation of commercial gas and heating systems. You will ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with current industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas heating systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works
• Diagnose and rectify faults and breakdowns
• Complete occasional installation works when required
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and gas safety legislation
• Accurately record completed works using a PDA/mobile device
• Provide a high standard of customer service at all times
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses in accordance with company procedures
• Participate in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 5)

Requirements

Essential:

• ACS Commercial Gas qualifications:
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong understanding of current gas legislation and regulations
• Knowledge of Health & Safety best practice
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Flexible approach to working hours and call-out commitments

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• LPG qualification
• Unvented Hot Water qualification
