Location: Doncaster
Salary: £35,402 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 0600-1800, 12-hour shifts (paid in full, including lunch break)

Job Overview

We are working with a well-established pallet manufacturing company based in Doncaster, seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join their transport team. This role involves the safe and timely delivery and collection of pallets and related materials, primarily using curtain-sided vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• Transport pallets and materials to and from customer and supplier sites
• Use curtain-sided trailers (experience preferred)
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure loads are secured correctly and comply with road safety regulations
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time
• Adhere to drivers’ hours, tachograph and company policies

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• Curtain sider experience preferred but not essential
• Good knowledge of UK road networks
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
