CAD Engineer

Our client is looking for a Permanent CAD Engineer for a Permanent industry company. 

Job Title: Cad Technician/ Engineer
Location: Chesterfield 
Salary: £35 to £40k DOE
Hours of work:  Monday to Friday 8 till 4.30pm - working on site 

About the Company Our client are a small but ambitious building services design consultancy based in Derbyshire, specialising in both traditional building services engineering and renewable energy solutions. With a strong pipeline of projects and exciting growth plans, They are looking to expand their team with a Cad Technician/Engineer who is looking for more than just a job You'll be joining a close-knit team where your ideas are heard, your contributions are recognised, and your development is actively supported.
This role can develop overtime, and you can really make a difference. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Creating 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects using software like AutoCAD or preferably Revit.
  • Drafting: Produce detailed technical plans, layouts, and 3D models from rough sketches or specifications.
  • Revisions: Modify existing drawings to reflect changes, improvements, or to fix inaccuracies.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineers and architects to understand design requirements.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure drawings meet health and safety regulations, technical standards, and quality standards.
  • Site Support: Conduct site visits or surveys to gather data or verify dimensions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation for projects.

About You

  • Proven experience in AutoCAD within the building services sector ideally from a Mechanical and Electrical background.
  • creates 2D and 3D technical drawings and models for engineering, construction, or manufacturing projects using software like AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
  • Experience using industry-standard design software
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ambitious, proactive, and keen to grow with a business
  • Interested in long-term career progression
