The Opportunity
Multitask Personnel is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a growing UK wholesaler of renewable energy products. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to develop new business and strengthen existing customer relationships across Scotland.
You will represent a business supplying solar panels, hybrid inverters, battery storage systems and EV chargers, supported by technical expertise, installer training and rapid regional delivery. The position offers a competitive package, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to continued growth within the renewables sector.
The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will take ownership of business development activity across Scotland, with approximately 80% of your work focused within the region. The role combines proactive new-business generation with account management, helping solar installers and electrical customers access the right renewable energy products and solutions.
You will work independently in the field and from home, opening new accounts, building a sustainable pipeline and delivering against agreed sales and customer-growth KPIs. There are no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business with solar installers, electrical wholesalers and related trade customers across Scotland.
- Build, manage and grow a strong regional sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking and customer visits.

- Deliver agreed sales targets and KPIs, including revenue, active trading accounts and new accounts opened.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities, customer engagement and commercial progress.
- Work closely with the branch and internal sales teams to provide a responsive, high-quality customer experience.
- Keep informed about market developments, installer requirements and relevant areas such as MCS registration.
About You
You will be a self-motivated and resilient sales professional who is comfortable creating opportunities, handling setbacks and building credible relationships with customers. You will have the confidence and professional presence to represent the business in front of clients while working independently across a large territory.

- A proven track record in business development, field sales or account management, with experience working to sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong new-business development skills alongside the ability to retain and grow customer accounts.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and commercial negotiation skills.
- A proactive, committed approach and the resilience to manage objections and knockbacks.
- The ability to organise a field-based workload and work effectively from home.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Scotland.
- Experience within electrical wholesale, solar installation or renewable energy would be highly advantageous, although strong candidates from related sales backgrounds will be considered.
