Business Development Manager – PPA Sales

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE + Tesla Company Car + Commission + Benefits

We are recruiting for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing business operating within the renewable energy sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional with a proven track record of winning new business, managing complex commercial sales cycles and building long-term strategic relationships. Experience within the energy or renewables sector, particularly Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), would be highly advantageous.

The Role - Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of developing new business opportunities across the UK. You will identify and secure new commercial customers, build relationships with strategic partners and manage the full sales process from prospecting through to contract completion. You will also work closely with internal teams to deliver commercially viable solutions and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities across the UK.
  • Generate new business through networking, prospecting and relationship building.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including commercial negotiations and contract delivery.
  • Build and grow a portfolio of customers and strategic referral partners.
  • Maintain and develop strong long-term customer relationships.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities.

About You

  • Proven B2B business development or field sales experience.
  • Experience managing complex commercial sales processes.
  • Renewable energy or energy market knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Confidently generating new business and developing strategic accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially astute, self-motivated and target driven.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
