We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth within the building and electrical services sector. The focus of this role will be to win new projects, nurture client relationships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
New Business Development – Identify and engage prospective clients across construction, engineering, and facilities management.
Account Management – Build and strengthen long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Sales Strategy – Work with senior management to implement growth strategies that align with company strengths and market opportunities.
Sales Lifecycle – Manage the full process from lead generation through to negotiation and contract award.
Collaboration – Liaise with project delivery and technical teams to prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially sound proposals.
Reporting & Forecasting – Provide regular updates on pipeline, opportunities, and progress towards sales targets.
Proven track record in B2B business development or sales, ideally in construction, building services, or technical sectors.
Strong ability to network and identify new opportunities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence at senior level.
Commercially astute with strong negotiation and closing skills.
Target-driven with experience working towards multi-million-pound goals.
Self-motivated and capable of managing a varied pipeline independently.
Competent in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel to client sites and industry events.
