We are now recruiting for an Internal Business Development Executive to join their growing team based in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment and wants to be part of a high-performing sales function within a future-focused industry.

The Role

As the Internal Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities through telephone canvassing and converting leads into active customers. You will manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through to proposal and close, while maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates on your activity.

This is a key role within the commercial team with a strong focus on supporting the company’s expansion in the renewable energy space, particularly in solar and PPA solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound sales calls to generate leads and identify new business opportunities
  • Handle and progress incoming enquiries through the sales process
  • Create and present tailored proposals clearly communicating the company's value
  • Maintain accurate CRM records including contacts, leads and sales activity
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handover of new clients
  • Produce professional sales documentation and pipeline reports
  • Support operations during periods of high demand or absence
  • Engage confidently with decision-makers including senior executives and business owners
  • Build long-term client relationships and support key accounts

What We’re Looking For

You will have a minimum of one year’s experience in business development or telesales with a proven track record in outbound lead generation and closing. You will be confident on the phone with strong communication and persuasive skills, highly organised with attention to detail and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You will be proactive, driven by targets and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Experience or interest in the renewable energy sector is desirable.
