Job Title: Air Source Heat Pump Installer
Location: Reading and Surrounding 
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities: Air Source Heat Pump Installer

• Manage and deliver on-site installation and servicing of hot water cylinders, thermal storage, and heat pump systems
• Complete general central heating installations and reactive repairs
• Supervise and support on-site teams with technical guidance
• Conduct fault diagnosis and carry out timely maintenance and repairs
• Install, upgrade, and service plumbing, sanitation, and HVAC systems
• Adhere strictly to PAS 2030, MCS, and Gas Safe standards
• Participate in the out-of-hours rota, including overtime and call-outs
• Record all work accurately via PDA or digital device
• Report incidents and hazards in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Provide a flexible, respectful, and customer-focused service

Essential Requirements:

• Experience working within local authority or social housing sectors
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Sound knowledge of domestic heating systems and appliances
• Proven ability to deliver PAS 2030-compliant installations
• Strong problem-solving skills and commercial fault-finding experience
• Proficiency with BMS and controls, unvented hot water systems, and press-fit installations
• Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation

Essential Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or City & Guilds equivalent)
• Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Installation & Maintenance (C&G, BPEC or LCL Awards)
• G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Certification
• Water Regulations Certificate

Desirable Experience & Certifications:

• Familiarity with HIUs (Heat Interface Units)
• Solar thermal systems (Level 3 RFQ)
• F-Gas qualification
• Electrical certification (17th / 18th Edition)
• Experience in control system rewiring
