Our client are an Installation and Maintenance company dealing with domestic, smart, dual fuel and Industrial and Commercial meters, they are looking for an experienced Transport Administrator to join their team in Balby, (the site is due to mover to Hoyland in the next 3 months so please bear this in mind when applying)

Role

You will be reporting to the Lead Transport Controller day to day placing orders, dealing with all inbound and outbound deliveries, checking orders ensuring all paperwork is in order.

Working closely with the warehouse team, office, Operations and sub-contractors, ensuring stock is replenished, available, transport is booked for collections and system accuracies are cleansed.

Responsibilities

  • To report direct to and support the Lead transport controller, working alongside the WH leaders in several depots.
  • To carry out stock checks at month end with the Lead Transport Controller, in ensuring all data is collated and passed on to finance.
  • Working with all WH depots to ensure all stock level delivery targets are adhered to.
  • To maintain high standards of data input.
  • Ordering specialist stock items, tracking delivery dates and advising the rest of the business
    To take initiative and comfortably respond to any queries, escalating if necessary, working closely with other members of the stock team and own initiative.
  • Liaising daily with customers, office, sub-contractor, transport controller and WH operation
  • To complete ad-hoc duties that supports both the function and the business as and when requested

 

Knowledge/Experience

You must possess good admin skills and excellent PC skills, working within a busy environment, able to work with others and own initiative, working in accordance to daily targets, analysing data and cleansing systems.

Hours are 8am-4.30pm Mon to Fri

Salary is £21k, this is a permanent role with the client.
