Our client are an Installation and Maintenance company dealing with domestic, smart dual fuel meters, they are looking for an experienced Stock Administrator to join their Goods in team in Balby on a permanent basis. The site will be relocating to Hoyland in Barnsley in the next 6 months

Role

You will be reporting to the Lead Stock Controller day to day ensuring stock is replenished, and stock system accuracy and stock reporting activity.  This role will require good communication and close working with warehouse/transport functions to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock. The Stock Administrator will work alongside operations to support engineers via email/phone. You will create engineer orders, showing both speed and accuracy while being responsible for the day to day maintenance of relevant systems and raising of documentation and reports to allow efficient processing. This will include daily schedules, POD, communication to other departments, chasing up collections, dispatches, reporting any anomalies, etc. Liaising closely with the warehouse team in ensuring all requests are ready for dispatch as per the working schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Stock Team Leader/Lead Stock Controller on site and working alongside the Warehouse Team in ensuring the full process is adhered to from start to finish. 
  • To update and maintain relevant systems & spreadsheets.
  • To maintain high standards of data input, adjustments and reporting to enable system integrity.
  • To take initiative and comfortably respond to any queries, escalating if necessary, working closely with others and using own initiative. 
  • To assist the Stock Team Leader/Lead Stock Controller in carrying out stock checks at month end working with the warehouse team, in ensuring all data is collated and passed on accordingly.
  • Reporting to and working with the stock team to ensure physical stockholding across all SMS locations is accurately reflected within the stock system.
  • Working with all Warehouse depots on stock levels, looking at short falls and ensuring stock levels are replenished to fulfil orders. 
  • To maintain high standards of data accuracy in relation to stock adjustments and stock allocation. 
  • Creating picking lists for the warehouse using information from many sources.
  • Ordering specialist stock items, tracking delivery dates and communicating with other business areas to minimise the impact of any stock shortages.
  • To take initiative and comfortably respond to any queries, working closely with other members of the stock team to resolve, and escalating if necessary
  • Liaising daily with customers, planning and scheduling teams, sub-contractors and transport & warehouse functions.
  • To complete ad-hoc duties that supports both the function and the business as and when requested.
  • To step up in to any role to cover any holiday cover, sickness if required  

 

Knowledge/Experience

Previous experience in stock control/logistics. You must possess good admin skills, working within a busy environment, able to work with others and own initiative, working in accordance to daily targets, analysing data and cleansing systems.

Shifts are 8am-4.30pm Mon to Fri. Salary is £19,760
