Senior Energy Pricing Analyst

We have an exciting new opportunity! To work with an industry leader, who are looking for Pricing Analyst within their energy marketing team working from their Cardiff base.

Our client are a rapidly growing organization within the Gas, Electric, energy & smart metering industry who are looking for a dynamic individual to manage and monitor trends within the energy market, also you will tender for new business and assist the new sales team where ever possible.

You Will:

• Liaise with energy suppliers, meet deadlines for our clients and monitor developments and events in the energy markets that are likely to affect energy prices.
• Be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of all internal systems and client databases ensuring that all details are present and correct.
• Assist sales team in tendering for new business.
• Take full account management responsibility for an existing portfolio.
• Closing contracts between client and supplier, including managing customer expectations.
• Up selling to current customer were possible but maintaining relationships in the process.
• Take senior role in overseeing and delivering our energy and water procurement services.
• Maintain customer service levels to the client service level agreements.
• Issue and Prepare supplier price reports and analysis to clients.
• Pro-actively track the market and ensure your team and clients are up to date with changes.

You will need:

• Previous experience within the energy industry and strong knowledge of Excel & VBA would be advantageous.
• Ability to organize and priorities work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage the expectations of project stakeholders
• Excellent numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Need to be a strong negotiator and the ability to communicate at all levels
• Previous experience in analytical and data analysis
• Previous experience in a commercial/sales/client facing role
