Professional Experience:

Background in construction/temporary structure or modular together with experience of delivering “big ticket sales” in a commercial capacity.  Ability to utilise a diverse supply chain in a time critical environment.  Demonstrable experience of tender submissions.  Good working relations with Contract/Project Management. Natural gravitas and affinity with the B2B sector.  Able to develop high level networks and act professionally as an ambassador for the business.  Recognise and rapidly develop opportunities in a controlled and profitable manner.  Full understanding of basic financial reporting and budget management.  Team player (internally), co-ordinator and facilitator with suppliers and strategic partners.

Personality Traits:

Excellent communicator with proven networking skills. Highly developed and diplomatic negotiating skills.   Exceptional interpersonal skills, a receptive disposition, inherent creativity and an instinct for conducting business at the highest-level are essential attributes for this position and of greater importance than directly relevant experience.

Principle Responsibilities (not in priority order):

  • Identify, develop and implement sector specific sales strategy in co-operation with members of the UK Board and in line with the UK Strategic Business Plan
  • Meet and exceed agreed sales and margin targets
  • Manage specified key accounts
  • Develop sales plan
  • Explore new opportunities in accordance with the sales plan
  • Take final responsibility for projects, working with the project delivery team to ensure successful handover and financial close
  • Weekly and monthly sales reporting
  • Ensure that the Company’s terms and conditions are met
  • Ensure that payment terms are adhered to
  • Act as main contact for customer and site visits
  • Prepare accurate pre-calculations in co-operation with Contract Manager and Sales Director
  • Ensure that quotations are accurate and sent in a timely fashion, working in co-operation with the Contract Manager
  • Ensure that contracts are being signed in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Identify market opportunities and threats
  • Represent the Company at hospitality and other relevant occasions
  • Maintain high standard of professionalism at all times

The Offer:

  • Salary range £40,000 - £45,000 – on target £70-£85K
  • Pension: 5% employee – 3% employer (after 3 months)
  • Free gym membership at Brackley and Towcester
  • 25 days annual leave per year (annual leave year runs 1st April – 31st March)
  • 6 month probationary period
