We have an excellent opportunity working for a well-established, ambitious and growing organisation within the Commercial Property Maintenance sector.

Our client are looking to recruit a Proactive Maintenance Manager, on a permanent basis based from their office in Sheffield. You will be responsible for overseeing all PPM works within a geographical area, managing Team Leaders and schedulers who are scheduling works across fabric, mechanical and electrical sectors.

Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Lead and drive a PPM team
  • overseeing new customer set up’s and on boarding of new engineers
  • Undertake reporting and utilise data from both internal and external systems
  • Represent the company at client facing meetings
  • Understand client service level agreements including budgets and rates.
  • Undertake HR responsibilities (e.g., appraisals, back-to-work, disciplinary’s).
  • Plan/co-ordinate/allocate engineer workload in line with client SLA’s & KPIs
  • Request budget uplifts
  • Maximise work attendance volumes
  • Update client portals and internal systems
  • Plan & administrate joint visits with other specialist contractors
  • Providing real time approval of engineer timesheets
  • Assist in managing the engineer OOH (out of hours) call out rota.
  • Report absence/holidays to payroll
  • Provide work-in-progress updates to internal and external customers
  • Develop a good working relationship with engineers, providing effective communication
  • Co-ordinate the life cycle of works in progress, checking worksheets, budgets, and client orders to ensure the clients’ invoice can be processed efficiently.

You will need:

  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • Experience managing a team
  • Background in similar sector
  • Proficient with Office 365
  • Great attention to detail
  • Advanced level of commercial and financial acumen
