Job Specification - Mechanical Site Manager

My client is a successful business providing mechanical, electrical and data commercial services with dominance in the retail sector throughout UK.
Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an additional experienced Mechanical Site Manager to their team based just outside of Sheffield.

Duties and responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to the following;

• To receive and review drawings and specifications from client or main contractor
• To resolve discrepancies with the client
• To ensure work is carried out to a high standard
• To ensure each contract is maximised on returns
• To maintain good working relationships with clients and main contractors
• To Supervise and liaise with operatives and contractors on site
• To complete company paperwork clearly and legibly
• To record variations to contract and provide information to QS
• Read, understand and implement the Company Health and Safety Policy and QA at all times

Education, Qualifications & Experience;

• GCSE grades C or higher in English and Mathematics
• NVQ Level 1 in Mechanical or Electronic Installation
• Be certified to grading as laid down by the Joint Industry Board for electricians
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in electrical or mechanical installations
• Demonstrated competence in the running of sites
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and statutory bodies
• Accuracy and precision in preparation of documents
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• To hold a full UK Driving License
