Role: Project Joiner

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per year

Multitask Personnel are working on behalf of a leading facilities management company. Due to continued expansion, they are currently seeking an experienced, hardworking and reliable Project Joiner.

You will be working closely with the Project Manager to deliver small/medium refurbishment projects to defined specifications contributing to handing over projects on time, in budget and snag free. This is a mobile position working on refurbishment projects throughout a geographical area.

Job Details:

• To carry out all types of joinery works both internally and externally to complete projects to the customer or client satisfaction as directed by your line manager or other nominated designate.
• Ensure all joinery and carpentry activities completed are of a high quality, are compliant and adhere to building standards and meet all legislation, H&S and regulatory standards.
• Undertake multi-skilled joinery maintenance work during project down-time.
• Plan and organise your work in an economical and effective manor, making the best use of your available time, plant, transport and materials in accordance with specified company priority response times
• Use all necessary joinery tools plant and equipment associated with the post and joinery duties undertaken
• Use a company issued PDA to carry out the job role e.g., receiving instructions, accurately completing works orders/timesheets, general communications and ordering materials. Where there is a requirement complete any necessary paperwork related to the refurbishment Project

What you need?

• Excellent first & second fix joinery skills - essential
• Basic competency in using technology – email and the use of tablets for internal software system.
• NVQ or craft-related qualification at Level 2 or above – desirable.
• Full driving licence – essential.
• Sound understanding of Health, Safety and environmental legislation and working practices – essential.
• Ability to work at heights
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) - essential
• Must be able to cover emergency call outs (evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis).
