Credit Controller

Our customer is a successful group of accountants with 3 offices throughout the South Yorkshire region.  They are looking to recruit an experienced Credit controller to be based at their Swinton offices.  You will report to the credit control manager and have day to day responsibility for ensuring payments are collected within agreed payment terms and allocated correctly.

You will work closely with the Credit control manager, Senior partner, and the Client managers to resolve any payment issues.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Check bank payments daily and allocate payments received to client account
• Send out regular statement of accounts
• Send out regular emails to chase overdue payments
• Make calls to clients to chase overdue payments in
• Highlight any payment issues or disputes to the relevant client manager
• Use the bespoke accounts software system to track all client information and payments
• Other accounts or administration duties may be required on occasion

The ideal Candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a credit control position
• Be determined and yet compassionate
• Be analytical with good attention to detail
• Have the ability to establish and maintain good client relationships
• Have previous experience using a form of accountancy software

In return the company will offer flexibility in the days and hours worked, training on their in-house accounts system and a professional, friendly, down to earth working environment

Working Hours will be 25-35 hours per week over Mon to Friday with some flexibility required during busy periods.

Salary £20,000-£23,000 pro rata dependant on experience
