Contract: Fixed-Term until March 2025
Pay Rate: £13.96 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Accommodation Support Officer to join our Doncaster based client and make a meaningful impact by preventing and relieving homelessness. This site-based role involves working closely with customers, partner agencies and internal departments to deliver temporary housing solutions and support transitions into independent living.


Key Responsibilities:
•    Allocate and manage interim accommodations tailored to customer needs.
•    Ensure properties are clean, well-maintained and equipped with necessary items.
•    Conduct tenancy sign-ups, assist with Housing Benefit applications, and explain occupancy agreements.
•    Support customers in securing permanent housing solutions, including private rentals and social housing.
•    Work with rough sleepers and individuals fleeing domestic abuse, providing guidance and support.
•    Enforce tenancy agreements and manage rent arrears in line with company policies.
•    Collaborate with legal services to handle enforcement actions, including preparing court cases and attending hearings.
•    Liaise with partner agencies such as social services, police, and estate agents to address complex housing needs.


Essential Requirements:
•    Full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business insurance.
•    Enhanced DBS check (required for the role).
•    Knowledge of Housing Act legislation (Parts 6 and 7) and experience with homelessness regulations.
•    Experience working with vulnerable individuals in challenging environments.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate documents.
•    Strong IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.


Working Hours:
08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday
